A sneaky paddle in the sea.

Image
Hello Woofers. Daisy Dog here! Two visitors last night,Young Martin and Liz and to make them both welcome  I jumped up and down and raced around the lounge and all over the sofa as well! The only problem was, they didn't. leave until a couple of minutes before midnight! But it was good to see them again. TM has been on about catching the seeds from the wild Sweet Pea plant that proliferates down by the seaside But there are no seeds yet! Even looking down towards the sea there was no sign of Sweet Peas! No Sweet Pea or High Tide, but it looks tempting! In fact it was so tempting that I ran away from OTL, shot down the hill and straight into the sea for a Deep Paddle! Mind you, I had to dash back. to him before he started to shout at me! Actually he did a couple of whistles to warn me he wanted me back to his side, wet or no! The forest was interesting, it might be fun trying to catch the forest with some early morning mist! The view is interesting but it needs some mist! Now ...

Saturday snoozing!

Hello Woofers, Daisy here again! It's been a weekend full of rain today. We were up at the crack of dawn looking to get back early 'cos TM wanted to get up the village hall for her weekly crop and she had told us not to hang about chasing all the woofers down on the sea front. We didn't see any one so we were back in plenty of time. We started off by running up the short path on the other side of the Two Trees. Then I rushed over to the other side to my favourite posing place. This is the spot where I always leave my signature! When we got around the corner we saw that the tide was almost in but you could still see the rocks. Mind you, that didn't stop me from sniffing in all the normal places looking for anyone I might know! No such luck and even the squirrel was away and high in the trees. Going through the tres I came across some squirrel sniffs but never saw him at all. Back home we hunted all the way around the pond edges and in the flower bed but couldn't fin...

Is this jumper yours and what's this thing with four legs?

Image
Hi Woofers, Daisy here. It was around four fifteen that OTL crawled out of bed for a wee. but he woke me up at the same time. So, around six forty five we found we had both over slept! Now,  late arrival means no Lads or any other signs. of woofers! With a little fiddly diddly OTL managed to make an interesting cloud formation! A bit further along came across a bench with a sweater draped across the back. It has obviously been abandonde by some young Two Legs judging by the drawing on the front! I decided to sniff it but not wee on it, I'm good like that! Back home we had a look for froggies in the pond but there was nothing but Taddly Poles. UNTIL! There, on the path by the side of the pond, out of the pond TM spotted a Tidily Froggyheading for the undergrowth! Grabbing a clean mug from the dish washer, she scooped the Froggie up and rushed up to show OTL. Out comes the camera and quick as a flash he ran off a few snaps before letting it go again. Here we are, the first Froggie th...

Mistaken Identity

Hello Woofers, Daisy here. I. made a bit of a Boo-Boo this morning. I was looking for Devo and Zoro when Ilept from the car in the car park. Looking towards the middle of the football field I spotted a couple of white/grey woofers of the same size as Devo and Zoro. Well, expecting our normal game of sniff and chase I ran full pelt over to where they were. My mistake. It turns out these two are an old husky and a wooly standard size poodle with dirty white hair! My mistake! Still, we had a little game of chase and sniff while their owner caught up with them and put them bacon their leads, thinking I was going to start woofing and causing trouble! As if I would do something like that! The sea was calm.  this morning and was on its way out. If I can get OTL down there tomorrow we might catch the high tide mark and I'll et a swim or even a deep paddle! No squirrels in the trees today but we have seen them on this path before. Lunchtime we were out on our normal walk and noticed that th...

Is that Sunshine over there?

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy here. Well, it was a great morning here,. First of all we saw some colour in the sky! Grey  clouds for ages and suddenly the hint off a real sunrise! Wotsatt? on the horizon? I know we were early down on the sea front but it was great seeing in the distance, Devo and Zoro! Yo! Shorty, how's it hanging? It was good to see them. both after being in hiding for ages! We had fun trying to wrap the lead around their legs and at the same time enjoy a sniff and leave a few more!. Hey lads, this is a good one! Have a sniff at this one, a real minger! There were one or two. stranger woofers but the all stayed away from Devo, Me and Zoro cos were the heavy mob! No one messes with us! TM reckons she has seen a Taddly Pole with some. legs hanging out the back but as much as we looked OTL and I didn't see any half grown Froggies in the pond, so it's back to searching the pond for half grown Taddly Poles! Lunchtime and we took the camera with us incase the grass was g...

The sunshine is back.

Hello Woofers Daisy here again. After yesterdays gloomy day it has made a change to see the sunshine again even though there was a little cloud up in the sky! A Cloudy Morning. Once again, no Devo or Zoro and The Lads were still getting their collars on! The tide was out and it seems that we have seen low tide for a number of days and it will be a week or two before high tide comes back. OTL has been playing with the computer and the Photography program, It's a pity the iMac won't accept the Adobe program he has been using in the past.  Lunchtime we we had a walk over the back of the football field looking for flowers and butterflies. Too much grass! Goats Beard. Back from the walk OTL started a new book 'Lord of the Rings' You know he has a total of forty eight audio books and by the time he hashed them all he has forgotten the first book and he then starts all over again. So, the first book is several hours long and OTL has put his headphones on and is already listeni...

More Rain.

Hello Woofers, Daisy here. What a change, yesterday was all sunshine but today, rain and even more rain! I had to wear my rain coat to  out of the front door. As normal I needed to have a drink before I stepped out. My drink, as normal, has been made famous by me and is called Water! It's also called The Trans Galactic Gargle Blaster and that should tell you OTL has just switched on the audio book called The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy (Secondary Phase). I'm sure that OTL sometimes reads the weirdest stuff.  I. mean why can't he just be satisfied with enjoying sniffs and  weeing up lampposts, just like for I do! Because of the rain, we didn't take the camera with us so there are no pictures today. It stopped raining around lunchtime which was good so we could get a quick wee in before lunch and by the time it started to rain again we had got back in we had fallen asleep again! I wonder if Chewie likes walking in the rain? Well, he is a young woofer so should enjoy t...

The Missus is Tired today.

Yo Ho Woofers, Daisy dog here. It's been a relaxing Sunday here in North Kent, we were up this morning at the. normal time and enjoyed a slow relaxing stroll around the sea front. No sign of any other woofers to spoil a pleasant sniff along the sea wall or through the forest. I can sniff The Lads have been through this way! OTL tried a shot of the Two Trees but we decided it was a failure! A bit boring really but you can't win them all! Even the sea front was just as boring! As the tide was out, that means the sandy beach would be exposed, that gives me the chance of dashing around the beach kicking up the sand like Holly and the ferrets used to do! It was great fun rolling in the sand and digging holes! Chasing Sand Flies is fun as well! Once I got fed up with the flies I. went searching for the flowers and came up with a yellow Goats Beard flower and one that had yet to. flower. Unusual to find a yellow one and you can see the shape of the 'Beard' on the flower to th...

She's Nicked the Car!

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy here. Not so hot today and a little bit of wind as well! But the best bit is TM headed off to her demonstrating day. She left OTL a baget stuffed full of soggy cheese and salad. This morning she left home early and took the car leaving OTL and I wondering what we were going to have for lunch. Guess what? Baget with cheese! Plus the walk by the seaside and the possibility of meeting up had gone and we had to look forward to another soggy cheese filled lunch after a walk. around  the field! Heading towards the football field from. home. Top of the field where the farmer has left a 10m margin to allow wild flowers and hedgerows can grow. Now, how's that for a view? Looking back down the field toward the village. Lunchtime was about the same 'cos we had a walk down the the other path that went  along the side of building site that at the moment is in the hands of some archaeologist who were digging up old graves and bronze age houses! We got them all her...

Quiet, card free, play with pond!

Hi Woofers, Daisy de Dog here! Well, it's areal mix up. this morning. TM has to be at the show by eight and that means leaving home by 6:45 which in. turn means I have to get out an hour earlier than normal plus I have to educate my tum to poo ahead of normal! OTL gets instruction on what to eat at lunchtime and then we are told not to let dogs in the house and OTL  has been told not to bring women into the house! As if! Going out so early has really messed up my body clock and I spent all morning shouting at OTL telling him. I want to go out for a stroll! It also means I get first shot of the Poo Bin! Going out so early means there is no one else on the sea front! With so much free time I get the chance of helping OTL choose a shot of the flowers!  It's amazing how these daisies have spread all. over the. place, if it goes on at this rate there will be more daisies than grass! Half way through the morning I convinced OTL I needed. a walk 'cos my tum is still a bit dodgy. ...

Pond Dipping.

Image
Hello Woofers, Daisy back again. Late again and everyone is ahead of us again! No sign of any woofers on the sea wall, in fact there was no-one in sight or sound. There wasn't any one at all. OTL tried a new angle on the Poo Bins and Trees but even that was a bit of a failure, I reckon he has worn that out now! OK, let's try.   One Tree and a ship! No? Well he tried! OK, if nothing else, how about a lump of Fungi! It's a pity they are all white, no colours or dramatic shapes. Even the Daisy looks a bit past it's best! I'm not sure what flower/weed this is but it looks pretty! Getting into the forest we had some shapes made by the trunks and undergrowth, it made. it all look, interesting! It was as we were discussing the trunk shape when there was a woofing and out of the undergrowth The Hooligans came crashing past us and heading for the Poo Place! Can't stop, need a Poo! I need one too! That was it, back home to finish off the spray in the pond. Sprinkle sprink...
